Rise Above Style Canopies

A “Rise Above” style canopy solves an age-old problem. “How do I install a canopy on a short gooseneck or box trailer and still have enough slope to drain rain water?”

By raising the rear eave above the trailer roofline, you can create a sufficient slope for proper drainage. For small canopies (< 16′ projection) the minimum slope is 2′ of rise for every 10′ of projection. Larger canopies are better off with at least 2′ of rise for every 8′ of projection. The more slope, the better the run-off.

Rise above canopies can also be used to avoid trailer side impediments such as slide-outs and tall doors.

Cantilevered canopy

A cantilevered style frame or canopy uses horizontal braces and creates unobstructed clearance under the canopy. This style typically does not have skirts. Also called a Suspended Canopy.
